The challenge

Local government annual reports must present performance, infrastructure delivery and financial results, while remaining accessible to councillors, residents and the wider community.

The challenge was to translate detailed operational reporting into plain English, while meeting all local government reporting requirements.

Editorial

Andrew Pegler Media (APM) structured the report around Council’s Corporate Plan priorities.

We translate operational content into clear, accessible language so it can be understood by both councillors and community readers.

Design

The design reflects the landscape, people and regional identity of the Barcaldine area.

Our work includes:

• using large-scale landscape photography to create a strong sense of place
• designing open, spacious layouts that feel grounded and easy to read
• applying clear typography and structure to guide readers through the report
• creating section openers that help navigate governance and operational content
• developing infographics and data visuals to highlight key results and outcomes
